Breathizen FAQ: Straight Answers to 42 Common Questions
Breathizen is an oral spray dietary supplement: shake, then 4 pumps into the mouth once daily, ideally before breakfast. It names five botanicals with no published amounts, costs $49 to $89 a bottle, and comes with a 60-day window from purchase. It is not FDA-approved, not an asthma medicine and never a substitute for an inhaler.

Breathizen basics: what is it and who sells it?
What kind of product is Breathizen?
It is a dietary supplement sold as an oral spray for breathing comfort. You spray it into your mouth once a day. See how it works.
Why does the bottle spell it BreathiZen?
That is the brand's styling on the front label. The product name is the same either way, and the sales page writes it as Breathizen.
Do I spray Breathizen into my nose?
No. The sales page says to spray it into the mouth or onto the tongue. Nasal use is not part of the directions.
Does Breathizen need a prescription?
No. It is sold as a dietary supplement, so no prescription is needed. Adults with a medical condition should still ask a doctor first.
Where is Breathizen made?
The sales page says it is produced in the U.S. in an FDA-registered facility. Registration is a listing, not an approval (FDA, Approval myths). The maker is not named.
Group 2
What is in Breathizen, and what does the label show?
How many ingredients are in Breathizen?
The sales page names five: mullein leaf extract 10:1, ginger root extract, bromelain powder, organic lemon extract and organic Cordyceps militaris fruit extract. Compare all five.
Does Breathizen have a Supplement Facts panel?
Not one that has been published. U.S. rules require a panel with ingredient amounts (FDA, Labeling guide), so read the back of the bottle you receive. See the product label.
Is the mullein in Breathizen leaf or flower?
Leaf. The sales page lists Mullein Leaf Extract 10:1. European regulators back mullein flower for sore throat with dry cough, on traditional use only (EMA, Mullein flower). More on mullein.
Does Breathizen contain pineapple?
It contains bromelain, an enzyme taken from pineapple. People allergic to pineapple, latex or grass pollen may react to it (RxList, Bromelain). See bromelain.
What are the other ingredients in Breathizen?
They are not published. The carrier liquid, flavors and any preservatives are unknown, so check the bottle label if you have allergies.
Is Breathizen vegan or gluten-free?
Brand badges say vegetarian, dairy-free and naturally gluten-free, but no certifier is named. With the full ingredient list unpublished, we cannot confirm any of the three.

Using Breathizen spray: pumps, timing and the cap
How many pumps of Breathizen do I use each day?
Four pumps (0.60 mL), once a day, per the sales page. Spray them into the mouth or onto the tongue. Full steps are on how to use.
Do I need to shake Breathizen first?
Yes. The sales page says to shake well before each use. Shaking mixes anything that settled at the bottom of the bottle.
Can I take Breathizen at night instead?
The sales page suggests the morning, before the first meal. It gives no reason, so ask your pharmacist if another time suits your routine better.
My Breathizen bottle has a dropper cap. What do I do?
Follow the directions printed on the bottle you receive. The brand's pack shots show a dropper-style cap, while the sales page describes pumps. Call the order desk if unsure.
What if I miss a dose of Breathizen?
No missed-dose advice is published. We would skip it and spray the next dose at the usual time, without doubling up.
Can two people share one Breathizen bottle?
They can, but it will run out sooner. The sales page sells each bottle as one person's 30-day supply at 4 pumps a day, so two users get about 15 days.
Group 4
Is Breathizen safe with other medicines?
Can I take Breathizen with my asthma or COPD medicines?
Ask your doctor first, as the sales page also advises. Keep every controller medicine on schedule, even on good days (MedlinePlus, Asthma control drugs). Breathizen does not replace any of them.
Can I take Breathizen with blood thinners?
Talk to your doctor first. Ginger, bromelain and cordyceps may each raise bleeding risk with blood thinners (MSKCC, Ginger). See side effects.
Is Breathizen safe during pregnancy?
Not shown. The sales page says to consult a doctor if pregnant or nursing, and mullein lacks safety data in pregnancy (RxList, Mullein).
Is Breathizen OK for teenagers?
Not without a doctor. The sales page says anyone under 18 should consult a doctor before use, and the product is sold for adults.
Should I stop Breathizen before surgery?
Tell your surgeon you use it. Sources advise stopping bromelain about 2 weeks before surgery because of bleeding risk (RxList, Bromelain).
Does Breathizen interact with diabetes medicine?
It might. Cordyceps may add to glucose-lowering drugs (MSKCC, Cordyceps). Ask your doctor before you start, and watch your readings.

What results can you expect from Breathizen?
When will I notice anything from Breathizen?
No one can say, because Breathizen has no published trial. Give it the 30 days of use the sales page asks for. See the results timeline.
Has Breathizen been tested in a clinical trial?
Not that we can find. Research covers single ingredients at known doses, such as bromelain in small sinusitis trials (Guo et al., 2006). That is not a test of this spray.
Is a spray absorbed better than a capsule?
Not shown for herbal sprays. A vitamin D study found a spray worked about as well as capsules, not better (Todd et al., 2016). Fast-Acting Spray on the label is a marketing badge.
Will Breathizen help with a cold?
Not shown. Colds usually clear on their own, and flu can need a test and treatment (CDC, Cold vs flu). See a doctor if a fever or cough lingers.
Does Breathizen work better with more pumps?
Nothing shows that. Extra pumps have not been studied, so stay with the 4 pumps the sales page directs.

Breathizen price, shipping and refunds
What does Breathizen cost per day?
About $2.97 a day on 1 bottle, $1.97 on 3 bottles and $1.63 on 6 bottles. See pricing.
Do I pay shipping on one Breathizen bottle?
Yes. A single bottle adds shipping shown at checkout, while 3 and 6 bottles ship free in the U.S., per the sales page. More on shipping.
Which Breathizen pack covers the 60-day window?
The 3-bottle and 6-bottle packs. One bottle lasts 30 days, which meets the 30-day use rule but not the whole window.
Does the 60-day Breathizen guarantee start on delivery?
No. The window runs from the date of purchase, so shipping days count. Call +1 (302) 200-3480 before day 60.
Is the 1-bottle Breathizen pack worth it?
It costs $89 plus shipping and lasts 30 days. That meets the 30-day use rule but leaves little time before day 60. The 3-bottle pack costs less per day.
Can I get a Breathizen refund after 60 days?
The published window is 60 days from purchase. Anything later is up to the order desk, so call before the window closes. See the refund policy.

What do people search about Breathizen?
Honest answers to the searches that ask for more than a supplement can give.
Breathizen: is it a scam?
No. It is a real product with an order desk and a refund window. The weak spots are the missing amounts and thin evidence, so read the reviews page first.
Is Breathizen approved by the FDA?
No. The FDA does not approve any dietary supplement before sale (FDA, Supplement Q&A), so Breathizen is not FDA-approved either.
Is Breathizen a lung cleanse?
No. Lungs clear themselves with mucus and tiny hairs called cilia, and no supplement has been shown to cleanse them. Read the mullein research.
Can Breathizen be used instead of an inhaler?
No. Never stop or cut back an inhaler or controller medicine because of a supplement. An asthma attack is an emergency.
Can Breathizen get rid of asthma?
No. Breathizen does not treat asthma or COPD. Keep following your asthma action plan (NHLBI, Asthma treatment). More in our article on asthma medicines.
Is Breathe Zen nasal spray made by Breathizen?
No. Breathe Zen and other look-alike names are different products. Breathizen is an oral spray, used in the mouth.
Should I use Breathizen as drops under the tongue?
Follow your bottle. The sales page directs 4 pumps of spray, but the pack shots show a dropper-style cap, and some third-party pages say drops.
Can Breathizen undo damage from smoking?
No supplement reverses smoking damage. Quitting is what helps lungs recover (CDC, Quitting smoking). For free help, call 1-800-QUIT-NOW.
